Psalm 100
Similar to yesterday’s entry – many years ago I wrote a song called “Moneychangers” – I always liked the music (the lyrics were… well… awful) and have used the middle section in another song already. Today I appropriated Psalm 100 and used the main riff of my old song to come up with another upbeat congregational worship song.
Lyrics (Psalm 100):
Shout for joy to the Lord of Heaven
Worship Him with gladness and song
come before Him with joyful singing
Know that He is God
It is He who made us, and we are His
we are his people – the sheep of his pasture
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise
give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good and His love is forever
His faithfulness continues through all generations!
