From His Hand, In His Time

From His Hand, In His Time

I wish I could say faith was easy. Sometimes it is, but often, it’s anything but. God wants us to bring our concerns and prayers to Him – “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” But the answer will not always be ‘yes’, nor will it always be immediate. That’s where the faith comes in…

Lyrics:

My prayer falls like rain on stone,
Patience writes what I can’t own.
Every season waits its sign,
From His hand, in His time.

The empty jars, the sleepless night,
Longing hearts before the light.
I bring my thirst, I bring my need,
And trust the Lord to grow the seed.

I can’t force the morning sky,
But still I lift my voice to cry

From His hand, in His time,
Turn my water into wine.
Simple prayers, simple clay,
Shaped by mercy, day by day.
Oh, from His hand, in His time,
Turn my water into wine.

My restless hands can’t shape the flame,

But still the silence speaks Your name.

The night is long, the path unclear,

Still I can rest, for You are here.

Not every stone is rolled away,

Not every wound is healed today.

Not every question finds reply,

Not every tear is fully dried.

From His hand, in His time,
Turn my water into wine.
Every tear, every trial,
Carried onward mile by mile.
Oh, from His hand, in His time,
Turn my water into wine.

The jar is filled, the feast is near,
A quiet joy, a song I hear.
From His hand, in His time,
Turn my water into wine…
