Beneath October Sky

Beneath October Sky

Another bit of old writing (2004) now set to music.

Lyrics:

The land will sing when the clouds arrive
To live in an October blue sky
Looking down on winding roads
Autumn colors, fire and gold.

Yes I know the beauty, I feel it in my heart
The seasons move through me, but they never drift apart
This fall – my haven will last as long as I
And longer still, beneath the October sky.

Leaves fall soft on an old stone wall
The air turns crisp, I hear its’ call
Every shade a memory, every path a song
The land remembers, it carries me along.

Yes I know the beauty, I feel it in my heart
The seasons move through me, but they never drift apart
This fall – my haven will last as long as I
And longer still, beneath the October sky.

Haven in the turning, haven in the flame
Every autumn whisper knows my name.

Yes I know the beauty, I feel it in my heart
The seasons move through me, but they never drift apart
This fall, my haven will last as long as I
And longer still, beneath the October sky.

The land will sing…
And longer still.
