Live Closer To the Ground
Most little children will spontaneously stop to watch a bug crawling along the ground or to pat a flower or to splash in some water until a grown-up tugs on their arm one time too often and they believe what they are told – that they are wasting time and should be hurrying on to somewhere else, to some place that is not here, to a time that is not yet. One of the lessons of the second half of life is to relearn what we once knew when we lived closer to the ground.
