lift your voices (on the third day)
long ago on a hill called Golgotha - the place of the skull one man paid a ransom in blood for the sins of us all though the unbending justice of almighty God we should feel in our place stands His son so His limitless love is revealed. enduring the hate and reproach of the masses, He died but the strength of the grave could not manage to hold Him inside He came forth on the third day and sits at the Father's right hand just accept His forgiveness you'll never fear judgment again lift your voices and worship the Son in spirit and truth for the things that He's done give Him glory and honor and worship let praises be sung for the victory He's won it's been two thousand years since His promise that He would return yet in the hearts of His people the hope of His coming still burns for we know someday soon we'll behold Him in glory and power and the once barren deserts of Zion will blossom and flower. repeat chorus now boldly we come to the Father through Jesus - the door and His Spirit gives hope to the hopeless as never before if we're faithfully running the race then we'll run for the prize with a song in our heart for we know our redemption draws nigh. repeat chorus
