Dreams of Someday

She has dreams of someday
holding hands and walking in the sun
she's strong and she can make it on her own
but there are times she needs someone
just to share a special moment;
the kind that happen everyday
to calm those fears inside her
and brush the tears away.

There's just so much to do now
and seldom time to think of what could be
another day goes by  - she shakes her head
and says "there's never time for me
but there's no one here to help me,
and the kids - they need me now,
so I'll keep my dreams inside me
and we'll make it through somehow."

She has dreams of someday

for just a fleeting moment
she wonders to herself
if he might be the one...
her gallant knight in shining armor
'cause she's more than what she seems;
she's a woman, she's a mother,
and a girl with Cinderella dreams...
