More Than Just Christmas

The gift that I bring is the
song that I sing
And the prayer that is offered within
It might not mean that much to you now
But I’m hoping love will find His way in
He was there all the time, didn't know I was blind
But His healing makes blind eyes to see
When He opened the door – I could see so much more
Now He’s more than just Christmas to me
More than just sleigh bells – more than good will
More than the gifts round the tree
More than religion in ribbons and bows
Jesus is God’s gift to me.
So I’m searching my mind for a tune and a rhyme
That will get your attention somehow
I hope that you’ll hear while His presence is near
And maybe – accept His gift to you now
It's been there all the time, you don't know you've been blind
But His healing can cause you to see
let Him open the door – it won't be like before
He’ll be more than just Christmas – you’ll see!
